WINTER SCHOOL 2007

The 2007 Winter School (ICE-EM Australian Graduate School in Mathematics) was hosted by the University of Queensland from 2-13 July 2007.

As in previous two years, two courses were offered in each of three streams. The streams were:

  • Statistics
  • Lie Theory
  • Algebra & Combinatorics

The attendees were chosen on academic merit from applications received from local, interstate and international institutions, following extensive, targeted advertising.

The 2007 IAGSM attracted a record number of 65 applications, with a final number of attendees of 59. The breakdown of attendees by stream was: Statistics 24, Lie Theory 21, and Algebra and Combinatorics 14.
